Did a quick google search of this site and didn't see anything so.... I would like to propose that when a user elects to update the KPA to the latest software, whether release or beta, the KPA would check for the presence of external storage and if found would perform an auto backup prior to upgrading the software. Another fail safe way for users to recover in case of some unfortunate circumstances. This could even be an option to select in System settings for those that don't want this feature. Just a thought as I upgrade now to the latest beta available.

I immediately thought of the System-settings option before I got to the part where you suggested it, so a huge +1 for both the idea and the implementation, mate.

The best way would be to have any updates going through Rig Manager and the backup could be written to a folder in the application. I don't tend to leave a USB drive in my Kemper.
