Ernie Ball pedal + Kemper ? Need Help please !

    Hi guys !

    I have a Ernie Ball Volume Switch Pedal.

    I would like to use it as a volume pedal, so

    I tried to connect it to my Remote with a TRS cable from the output of the pedal to the input of Pedal 3, which is set to Volume pedal.

    The kemper recognizes the Pedal on Pedal 3, but its not calibrating and the volume stays on the same level.

    On typ 1, nothing from the calibrate bar is showing up ( its empty )

    On typ 2 its running down ( from full bar to empty bar ) but afterwards there's nothing happening.


    Did i set the cables right or is the pedal not working with the kemper in general maybe ?

    you need an insert cable to use a Volume Pedal as an expression pedal. This lets you plug onr TS cable to input and anther to output then a single TRS into the Kemper. It is a solution but still not a very good one as Volume pedals have logarithmic (audio taper) pots while expression pedals have linear taper pots. With a log pot all of the control is squashed into a very narrow range of the pedal's travel making it very difficult to set accurately when playing.
