Hi there I'm finding some of my profiles are clipping the output of the Kemper when I kick my external drives in. Where is the best place to turn down the profile as when I do it and save it for some reason that same profile in the performance mode isn't affected by the change.

Are you running your pedals in the loop? You can adjust the level for the loop if that is the case.

No running in front of kemper. But if you edit the volume and save the profile should that save the volume of that profile in performance mode?

Performance mode profiles are separate from Browser mode profiles. So yes, you would need to adjust and save it.
You can/ should setup your clean sense as well as you could be clipping there.
