Kemper as effects unit only

  • When I was still using my Bogner my logical chain was:

Guitar---->Kemper Stomps----Kemper Loop Send---->Amp----Amp Loop Send---->Kemper Loop Return---- Kemper Effects---- Kemper Monitor Out----> Amp Loop Return---- Amp Power Amp

    I didn't bother for long.

  • Is this possible if your amp doesn't have an effects loop?

    Would I just disable stack?

Can I plug into my Kemper and then take a line out into a valve amp?... If so what output would I use?

My amp is a Marshall SL5 and doesn't have an effects loop

  • If you run the Kemper straight into the front of your amp it won't sound good because the signal already has the "amp" sound when it hits your amp. If you like the sound of your amp you should profile it, but it shouldn't be part of your Kemper signal chain. You need a powered guitar cabinet or Kemper Kab or something.

  • Welcome to the Party!

If you only use the Kemper for effects then you just wasted a ton of money and you are defeating the purpose of the Kemper. Profile your other amps into your Kemper, save those profiles, and then sell your other amps, and make money! ;)
