I just picked up another Kemper after having sold my first about 5 years ago. The only thing I’m not hearing in profiles of amps, especially amps that have a distorting power section, is the swirly/phasing sound that you get when sustaining a note as the power tubes go in and out of distortion.
For example, I have a Carr Mercury V. Most of the amps distortion comes from the power section. If I push it hard, the sustained note swirls and almost sounds like it has a slight phaser effect on it as it decays.
Has anyone heard this reproduced in the Kemper? It’s very common with 6V6 based amps that are pushed. Perhaps I haven’t found a profile that does this.
