Kemper Stage Master Volune and Gain knobs easy to remove

Hello all,

Just got my first Kemper unit and it is a Stage! , I haven’t even started with the unit but before even turning it on I noticed how easy was to remove the knobs... saw a ToneJunkie review where it was mentioned how heavy duty the knobs were, clearly it is not my experience.

My unit is brand new and since it was quite pricey... specially for South American standards I found quite strange that the master volume and gain knobs can be removed by barely pulling them.

Can anyone confirm that this is normal and not an assembly or quality issue?

The only knob that comes off on my stage is the browse knob. The rest will not come off at all. I’ve opened a support ticket to see if this is normal

Only browse for me the rest don’t move at all. I’ve already rung my local PMT where I brought it and they have another one I can swap it for.

Gain and master volume knob with my Stage...but i think this is the normal think ?

Yep, same. My browse knob pops right off. I sent an email in and they got me a new knob right away. Unfortunately it pops right off as well. All the other knobs stay on.

This is what they have suggested to me that they will send me some new knobs?? Bummer if it doesn’t sort the issues though

Updtate,

My Browse knob is ok, just gain and master.

Customer service agreed to send me new knobs, that I hope sort the problem.

I have this in master volume only. A small snip of a post-it note on the flat side of the ‘D’ shaft has sorted it.

Ah, that's a great idea to fix it. I just used some super glue but it is a little annoying that you spend $1700 and that happens as minor of an issue as it is. Wish I had thought of your fix first.
