MacBook troubles

  • I don’t like having to ask this, but I’ve looked everywhere else.

I’m trying to download Rig Manager onto a MacBook. It has the latest Mojave OS

and I managed to download the latest beta version system ( from the MacBook) into my Kemper.

But, when I download R.M. it’s just an empty box.

I was hoping to have RM as an icon , sitting on the MacBook screen, just like I had it on my PC.

  • don´t know what you mean with "empty box"? download RM with Safari, find the download in your download folder ( it should unzip the installer for RM automatically) and double click the "rig_manager.pkg" to start the installation.

  • Sorry, having a bit of trouble following. What is this “empty box” you refer to? The downloaded .dmg? Typically, you would run installer and find RM in Applications folder. From there, you could drag to desired location in Dock. I suppose you could also make an Alias and put on Desktop if that’s your style.

  • When I get to destination, the only choice I have is to install it on the Mac hard drive...

    I don’t think that’s where it should be ? Is it ?

If I carry on it completes, I close the install , but all that’s left is the “ empty box “

I look in finder but it’s not there ?

  • rig exchange is one item on the left side in Rig manager

you have to be online , then double click Rig exchange

and all rigs which are on there will show up

but you have to be logged in with your Kemper name and password

  • you have to fill out this under preferences

    in rig manger

click in rig manager when its open on the rig manager entry in the upper bar

then click preferences, then a window pops up there you have to click on where it says rig exchange

and fill out all infos they need to log in

    then it will work

  • Got it ! Thanks to all the great people who took time to walk me thru this.

    What I missed is...I didn’t click on “ test credentials “

Didn’t think it was necessary...silly me.

    Anyone else reading this remember..

Click on Test Login Credentials. Under preferences, in Rig Manager.
