Output problems

  • Hi all,

So I’ve had the Kemper for a while now and have been running it through a Mesa 2x12, however I’m hoping to drop that and run it through pa now.

The issue I’m having is, whenever I use an xlr output from the main output (single in mono) the amp sounds horribly fizzy and thin.

Now I’m sure it an issue with the output settings somewhere because when I use headphone (through headphone port), the profiles sound wonderful and through my cab they sound great as well but through the main outputs it sounds like death.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • From the XLR out...where do you plug in? A mixer? Audio interface? Some automatically engage mic preamps when seeing XLR. Also check your output settings. For the main outs it should be Master Mono.

I could have farted and it would have sounded good! (Brian Johnson)

  • I’ve tried a two things, a bad rehearsal room desk feeding to monitors and an x32 going to my iems.

Yep they are on master mono.

I’ll have a look to see if any preamps on the x32 are being turned on
