I'm getting ready for my first Nashville vacation. Hopefully I'll have some Kemper sightings to report and some lonestargtr sightings/listenings -- even if they are covers or memorabilia!

Happen to pass through Nashville during a CMA Fest. Very happening downtown. All sorts of interesting.
Enjoy!

That's what I'm hoping for. Don't really have much of an agenda, other than a few standards. I really just want to check out the local honky tonks, eat some good food, get some drinks, and relax.

Found one at John Rich Redneck Riveria. Excellent musicians and the Kemper sounded awesome. I wish I would have gotten their name (or the country profile the guitarist was using) but they didn't take a break, while I was there.

Nashville was very humbling for me. Walked down Broadway and there was an A-game band every 20 feet.......

And the best part, it was any time of the day! I could spend all day listening to music, on Broadway, from the time I went up until the time I went to bed, and be perfectly happy. I was also impressed by the variety of music. I thought it would be mostly pop country, with some old country and rock mixed in. I definitely heard plenty of 80s rock and metal there, which I wasn't expecting, and loved. Anything you want to hear is withing walking distance. I think I found a new favorite city.
