I updated to the latest (final) firmware, and now I can no longer create profiles because the return no longer works. My setup has always been:
Kemper => Amp => Mic => Mixer => Kemper
After the firmware update, this no longer works. I tested for cable issues, and the cables are fine. I even tried to bypass the mixer and go straight from the mic to the Kemper. Still no signal. Something must have changed, and I'm at a loss at where to look.
Any suggestions?
Go back to the last working OS and double check if it really a Software issue.
if so open a ticket at Kemper support.
Connect SEND and RETURN via a simple TS patch cable. Then take a PROFILE (Clean and No Cabinet) of just that cable. If that works, the issue has nothing to do with PROFILER nor OS update.
I got it sorted out. Apparently, the update changes the way the return works. I always had both the 1/4" and XLR connected, and just swapped between them. After the update, you can have the XLR OR the 1/4", but not have both connected at the same time.

As soon as you plug a TS-jack into the RETURN, the XLR RETURN gets muted. That happens via a hardware switch in the TS-socket and cannot be changed via software.
