Rig Manager 3 is available for testing 😍

  • In this day EOL also means no updates and lack of security updates will put a system at risk. I work in the disaster recovery field and I for one would not recommend running a system that touches the internet on an OS that is EOL.

In 30 years of being connected to the Internet, I honestly can't recall ever getting hacked or a virus. Personally, I'm more suspicious of the company that gives it's latest OS away "for free" in order to get people to adopt it.

  • To be honest windows 7 is over 10 years old. You wouldn’t want your phone to be that old you’d be on an Apple iPhone 3GS or an old shite Nokia.

Also and using the same analogy you’d be on kemper OS 1 (If the tech was even invented by then).

I suppose something just move on?

LOL!! I'm still using a Samsung Galaxy S5.... still works perfectly fine for what I do with it.

I rarely waste my money buying new crap just because it came out. Most of the time the improvements aren't radical differences over the previous model, and are rarely worth the money. But, some people get sucked in by the hype or think they are impressing others with the latest and greatest.

  • Every time I try to save from RM, the option grays as if it saved, but it never does lol. I've seen some other posts from other users having a similar problem.

Saving the changes made on the editor, via the Store button on the Stage, the save functions work properly.

So far I've only been able to test this with Performances in Performance mode. I'm going to test it out with Rigs while in Browse mode and hopefully I'll have better luck!

I've had better luck creating/saving performances with the chickenhead knob in Browse mode

Probably because you’ve been sensible and used a supported OS. Once unsupported, it’s literally open season.

Microsoft giving its OS away is good business. Ask Apple.

This company make there money with expensive Hardware, and the new software needs new hardware ...

Not really.... I've never nèeded support from Microsoft, and I rarely ever install their updates.

I think it's more likely Microsoft has learned Google, Facebook, et al's model.... give it away so that you can spy on your users and sell their personal information. And now that they can install their updates on your system whenever they feel like it, they can push out any new surveilance software they develop without your consent or knowledge.

  • So you rarely need new things and dont need updates to firmware either? What year model car do you drive, or is that a horse and buggy? ;)

If you use FRFR the benefit of a merged profile is that the cabinet is totally separated in the profile.

For my edification only... :D Kemper/Helix user

or it is cheaper for them to maintain and support one OS. Besides that, by giving away free update from 7 to 10 you do not lose sales (who buys a new OS for an old machine?) they bind customers to their ecosystem: because who doesn’t like a company that gives away firmware updates for free? ;)

  • NOOOOOOO!!!!!! osx 10.12????? But but but.... I use 10.11 cause of stupid pro tools 12 perpetual.

I have been awaiting this day since NAMM, and now I don't know what to do.

But all the thanks to the team at Kemper for releasing an awesome free new feature. I love my Kemper!

  • Hey everyone.

Iam not so euphoric like all of you.

Yes for Kemper its a cool feature, but iam a Line6 and FX user, and there its standard for years to have an editor.

okay, but iam thankfull and try to be kind :)

after my short review, its correct that i cant change amps and cabinets in the editor?

    is there a reason for?

one of my first intention to using the editor is, to change and organize the cabinets and its sound changes.

pls add this feature.... like.... like the other companies ;)

    thanks
