Rig Manager 3.0 Beta Release Discussion Thread

  • Can anyone confirm this is a bug?
    - When adding a new column in the local library ("instrument" for example), and then double clicking on the border for it to expand - the Rig Manager crashes.
    - I decided to add more performances, and something there just doesn't work properly. I add profiles to the 5 slots (copy-paste), change to an other performance mode, go back to the prev, and some aren't saved :S

    Windows 10

I have 986 profiles in my local library (just pointing this out..)

  • Must just be me, I've not only had no success updating, but I've needed to reinstall everything back to OS 7.15. and RM 2.3.14. Major nightmare. (iMac OS 10.15.1)

RM 3.0 crashed every single time, Would open briefly, then crash. Even when only updating to OS 7.17, keeping RM at 2.3.14 none of my performances or other custom settings were found. Fortunately, I'd backed my Profiler up on a USB stick, otherwise everything would have been lost. Even trying to restore from my RM backup failed.

I'm back to OS 7.15 and RM 2.3.14 and things are back to where I started. Dunno why I'm having no luck. For others considering an update, make certain everything is backed up, not just RM but your Profiler.

Too bad, I had major hopes for this.

Good grief. It's beta software relying on a beta OS to function.

It's not supposed to work 100%. Besides, they've already updated to OS 7.1.7 due to a performance bug.

  • RM 3 didn't see the new OS Beta 7.17 , even when hitting check fór software updates,

it says RM is up to date but nothing about the Profiler, which has 7.16

Had to install 7.17 manually via USB Stick, would be nice if this will work like in the former Version

Well yeah, I get it. But, for me, I'd settle for some percentage higher than zero! I'm happy for those of you who have it working. Please continue to work out those bugs so the rest of us can join you.

  • Installed both and now working fine.

Editor is amazing. Will take a bit of getting used to but not much. So great to be able to see everything on one screen.

Only issue i've encountered was when updating to 7.1.6 on my stage; the initial part of the install went smoothly, but after the reboot the unit got stuck. I had to unplug the unit and when it started back up it got stuck again. The screen would just say Kemper and show the loading bar that would progress to full, but there was none of the subtext that is usually there. Had to repeat this a few times before it actually booted right.

This has happened to me before on earlier OS7 when I had to reboot, so likely not directly related to 7.1.6

  • Cant open Rig Manager. Crashes on open.

  • Upgraded the Kemper via USB to 7.1.7

    Upgraded RM

But RM did not sync at all, even after rebooting both Kemper and PC.

    Uninstalled RM3, rebooted PC and re-installed RM3.

    Now all is good... awesome!!!

I had the same thing. It took me longer to find a usb stick than anything else, haven't needed one in ages.

I'm seriously impressed with this. Everything I've tried so far has been super intuitive and works a treat. Thank you Kemper, this is fucking awesome.
