Kemper Rack too wide?

  • Hi, I have recently bought a new rack for my home studio.
When i first tried to insert my Kemper rack into the rack, I noticed that the Kemper is too wide to fit inside the rack because of some small screws on each side.
So, my question is if it is safe to remove these screws? Are there internal parts that rely on them or is it just there to keep the cover in place?

  • Is it the 2 screws at the bottom on each side ? If so , their "only"

job is to keep the "hood" in place , nothing internal ....

Just remember where you store them so you can put them

back when / if you ever sell your KPA :)

    ( TORX T - 10 is the tool you need )

    Cheers !

The adjective for metal is metallic. But not so for iron ... which is ironic.

  • I had this issue too. I removed the 2x screws and stored them in a ziploc bag taped to the back of the unit. Mine is a used Kemper - years out of warranty so I didn't worry about doing this.

In hindsight - I could have filed the rack rails to make space for them.
