I apologize if that has been answered somewhere else, but I recently purchased a powered Kemper and have heard it has a looper feature. Every person that I see using it, is using a foot switch to operate it. I completely understand why you would want to use a foot switch but all I currently have is the powered toaster. Is there any way at all to use it? I don't mind if I have to hit buttons to start and stop loops...I would just like to be able to use it. Thanks for any answers!
Looper - can I use it without a footswitch?

Depending on your software version you can use the great ToastMe! tool written by DamianGreda . It allows to access the looper functions via your computer.
DamianGreda does it work with software versions higher than 6.0x?

P.S.: When I remeber correctly you can assign the looper functions also to (simple) footswitches attached to the switch connector of the Toaster. Just make sure these are unlatched. Should work as well for the basic functionality.

Apparently you can just use a 2 button (momentary) switch - have a look in system settings, you'll see options in the pedals section for assigning looper functions. You'l be able to stop and start, but not change modes. I just want it so I can have loop playing while tweaking fx settings etc though so that's fine. Here's what I've ordered, only cost £15:

The functions Looper Start and Looper Stop can be assigned to external momentary switches and work like the corresponding functions of the Remote/Stage. You just need to make sure, switch polarity is set correctly. The other looper functions trigger, revers, and half speed cannot be assigned.

I can confirm, a simple 2-button momentary switch works fine. Just read the manual for the functions, 3 times stop means your loop is erased, for example. Also, the visual feedback isn't there, the remote is a better (but also more expensive) solution.
