Change FX order in Stage without the editor

  • :?:

In the Toaster there is the "Stomps" button where you can move FX positions (without losing the parameters) but in the stage...how?

  • The Stage doesn't offer the specific Stomps and Effects Section features of the classical PROFILER models.

You could copy and paste modules on the front panel instead of moving. Limitation: if all modules are already occupied you need to overwrite one or need to use a module in another Rig as a "parking lot". Advantage: this even works beyond section boundaries e.g. from module B to module X as well as across Rigs and across modes.

You could create an effect preset and load that preset in another module. This doesn't require a free module and works across sections, Rigs and modes.

You could use Editor to move modules.

You can combine all of the above to your convenience.

  • Thanks for the answer, good to know. A "parking lot" or parking performance may be the right way for me then. Maybe this "stomps button feature" from the toaster could be something to also implement in some submenu into the stage some time in the future?

  • Burkhard one of the things I REALLY think is missing from RM is the ability handle effects group presets rather than just individual effects presets. This can be done on the Classic Kempers themselves but presumably not the Stage.

Is there any physical reason why this couldn’t be added to a Rig Manager or is it purely something that wasn’t implemented because it doesn’t map directly to the Stage?

  • Honestly, we wanted to get rid of these Stomps and Effects Sections, conceptually. The fact that Stage and Rig Manager don't support these sections is a result. If we didn't have these sections historically, probably nobody would ask for such a function. And since the modules DLY and REV were liberalized, the question would be, if Stomps and Effects Presets should now be treated as one.

If one intends to leverage building blocks to create another Rig, it can be achieved with a combination of module presets, locking, and selective browse. Locking of a whole section is redundant. Reshuffling effect modules can be achieved via Rig Manager 3 with more flexibility than the traditional move function within each section.

  • Thanks. Changing the fx/stomps order of a performance in the stage with the RM is a brease, of course, but if you want to do it quickly without a PC it is not that quickly/DIRECTLY possible within that slot of a performance. That was the question...
