Trying to hook up a TC Electronic G-major 2 in the effects loop. Have it setup and can hear the effects from the G Major 2. Problem is, they are always there. I do not have a loop set up as a stomp so i can turn it on and off. The G Major is always in the signal. What am I doing wrong. I Have the Direct output connected to the left in of the G-major 2, And the Left out of the G Major going into the return input of the Kemper.

I had a similar problem yesterday.
In the Output section i switched the direct Output to OFF.After that I only had a signal when the effects loop was switched on.

Thanks That was it. Funny how none of the videos that show how to hook up the effects loop tell you to turn that off.

As soon as you deactivate an effect loop, the DIRECT OUT switches from its SEND into its normal output functionality, and parameters like Direct Output Source and Direct Output Volume are relevant. But even feeding a signal from the DIRECT OUT to your external device is not sufficient to hear its effects.. You must also have cranked up Aux In levels. The RETURN (mono) and ALTERNATIVE IN (stereo) switch from their effect loop return function to Aux In as soon as you deactivate the effect loop.
