New ENGL Savage 120 Profiles - clips inside :update:

  • I just uploaded an ENGL Savage 120 Channel 4 Lead profile.

    Here's a clip:

    Setup: Savage 120, Ch 4, Smooth mode -> ENGL E412SS 4x12 cab -> SM58 (grille off) -> Kemper.

I have it set up with a basic lead boost and reverb/delay and some chorus, but feel free to tweak away of course :)

In the clip I'm playing a Jackson USA Y2KV with SD JB pickups.

Please let me know what you think. I can also upload the rhythm profile if you want.

  • Oh my god yes !!!!

Words can't tell you how much I love you bro !
I've been waiting this amp profile for months !
    Thank you !

Could you make more profiles? Especially rythm lead tones.

    Anyway thank youuuu

  • I've uploaded a rhythm profile as well. It's optimized for baritone tuning and may be too harsh for some guitars unless further EQed.

This is channel 3, rough mode.

The encoding warbled the sound a little, but you get the idea. I´ve no excuse for the goofy drums and bass parts thou :)

Let me know what you think.

  • OMG- i love your first profile (belongs now to my top 5)... can you make more profiles of this awesome amp (also maybe possible a direct out?)

+1! Although I would love more of the second profile, the rhythm clip. I love the Savage/Invader for detuned seven string riffage, would be awesome to have some more flavors! :)

  • don't tell me you get no noise ?? Check my other post with samples ;)

I've reduced the gain, switched to HB and put a big muff in the stomp section. Also put some amp comp, reduced clarity and turned down high and presence. Ah, forgot it, putted cab charachter at 0,1....

Sorry man, I'm a tweaker. Sure that I did something else as well, but the result is lovely.....

I did a lot of the same things and more independently :). Great minds think alike. I thought there was a lot of potential here that somehow wasn't coming through in the stock profile and hopeful my tweaks help some people out. Here is my tweaked profile and thanks OP for putting the original up:

  • Yeah, like I said, these profiles can be a bit noisy and harsh depending on the output of your pickups, etc, especially the way I had the rigs set up. It worked for me though, but again, feel free to tweak to taste :). I'll do some more profiles soon with different miking.
