i have a rig that i want to save the AMP out of. so i hold AMPLIFIER button and then his STORE. then i choose stoer AMP MODULE. next screen comes up EMPTY.
why does it not carry the name of the amp over?
saving only the amp from a preset and having it keep the name

What you try to store is called an amplifier preset. The default name that gets suggested is "Amplifier Preset". If you edit "Amplifier Preset" to "XYZ" it suggests "XYZ" next time. You must have edited the tag to blank. Our factory Rigs are tagged well. Otherwise tags like Amplifier Name could be empty and are therefor not always a reliable default.
If you own a classical PROFILER you could use the COPY & PASTE buttons to copy the Amp Name into the preset name edit screen.

I have the non-powered Rack kemper. So you think the amp I was trying to save is missing the AMP NAME TAG? I will check on this.. I'm trying to save a Soldano.
