Hello guys, my first thread ever.
Would it be advisable to have the USB cable connected to my computer whenever it's on? I'm using the Rig Manager all the time and it's a pain to crouch and reach for the usb connection behind my desk.

I keep the USB cable connected to the computer all the time, whether the Kemper is plugged into it, or not.
Yeah I wasn't clear enough, what I meant was having the Kemper plugged into to computer all the time.
mine is connected pretty much constantly. My kemper get turned off but my Mac is left on all the time. I have been using it this way for over 2 years without problems so should be safe to do so too.
I only ever disconnect mine when it goes on tour and never had a problem.
For updates I connect directly to the computer and bypass the USB hub. Not sure if that is necessary, but I have heard it is good practice?
Always connect except when rehearsing with the other band mates.
Mine stays connected while in the studio.
Welcome to the forum!
Seeing as you can only connect the Kemper to the PC directly using USB what paults said stands.
Not really, he said the computer end of the cable is constantly plugged. Anyway as other users have pointed out, there seems to be no problems having both ends connected constantly, which solves my question.
Thanks guys, that solves it!
