What amp is the default "C. Kemper crunch amp"?

    This Rig is based on CK 0. It has been created by Christoph Kemper on January 20th, 2011 and is not (!) based on any Amplifier/Cabinet PROFILE™. The sound itself goes back even to the beginning of 2005.


    This Rig is the default sound for the digital sound processor. It's also preloaded as default Rig into any Performance Slot, where it shows up as "Crunch".

    I thought something like that, but I never questioned it.


    That explains why it sounds so "balanced" to me. And it is such a good starting point for tweaking. Even decreasing or increasing gain by a large amount sounds really good with the "Crunch", what usually isn't the case with other rigs.


    By using this rig we are kinda playing the Kemper core tone. But how do I explain that to the listener;)?

    Me: No amp - just Kemper!
