check you spam folder for reply from Kemper?

I wish you the best. The company isn't crap and the product isn't garbage. I'm going to have to assume that you didn't hit the forum for help before you fried your amp by using your load box incorrectly.
Where did you buy your Kemper? Did you try contacting them before spiraling out of control?

Maybe your ISP is blocking the emails and they're in a spam folder before reaching you?

Hi, Caligulus.
Is this the converter you are using?
If not, please give us a link to the converter you are using.
Are you running the latest version of the operating system? That's version 8.02.

accidentally destroyed a tube amp trying to troubleshoot this nightmare Kemper floor with no help from Kemper. Trying to get SPDIF working with my Apollo twin. Going in and out of an Optical-Tendak-Bi-Directional-Converter-Splitter.
How did you destroy a tube amp with a Profiler?

You wrote: "Analogue RCA hooked up to the in and out - 2nd output optical toslink cable to the Apollo."
Have you tried different coaxial cables?
Are the coaxial cables digital cables (not analog audio)?
Have you tried any other S/PDIF devices connected using the coaxial input on this converter?

If you keep calling the Kemper garbage you'll only create resentment. I wish you all the best figuring it out.

I had no success with this converter (with RME Baby Face pro interface) either - same symptoms as you described. However SPDiF worked for me without issues when connected directly using coax cables into Komplete Audio interface. I declared this converter total garbage and moved on with analog setup (less cables, less power supplies).

Hi, piotmaj!

Thanks. I have the RME Babyface Pro FS.
I've had two of these Optical to Coax, Tendak Optical SPDIF Toslink to Coaxial and Coaxial to Optical SPDIF Toslink Bi-Directional Swtich Digital Audio Converter Splitters in my Amazon shopping cart for over a month as I've thought about trying them out. I've been busy with other things or, I might have completed the order by now. I just removed them from my shopping cart. Thank you.
As an aside.
When I was shopping around for an interface, I sent a message to RME asking about connections to the Kemper. The answer was - "Use the analog connections (3 & 4). You'll get better results than using a converter."
Cheers!

Hi, Caligulus.
Thanks for the detailed reply. From what you've told us, and in light of piotrmaj's comment, we can't rule out the Tendak converter.

Just plug the Kemper into a line in device like most pros do and rock on. Simple and awesome. Seems like you're making something that works for everybody else (a KPA) and turning it into a bunch of problems. I'm a new user and for sure a KPA is NOT "garbage". It's a little funny. I've heard top pros using these on stage and have the best tones ever. Just because it won't hook up with this or that special interface doesn't mean it's not one of the most touch sensitive dynamic amps ever with amazing "feel" for a non tube amp. I think it does some amps better than the real amps adding a little more of the natural feel.. There must be another problem because Kemper support has always got back to me, even with tough questions in a timely manner. Really some of the best customer service there is which is pretty rare nowadays. I've been pleasantly surprised by their willingness to help. Slow down and get some understanding of it. If you want an amazing amp that works wonders under your fingers, yo have it.
