So when messing around with different profiles I can tell that some pickup tapping better than others, whether it is detected easier or just louder when tapping compared to others in general. My only idea was that adding a compression effect is what gives it a boost but it seems like that's not just it after some experimentation. Anyone know what could help make tapping more detectable?
How to make tapping pickup more?

Depending on your style of tapping, Rigs with more gain may generally have a natural compression that make tapping easier. But, if your style of tapping also includes cleaner Rigs, increasing the amount of attack in the Rigs, by adjusting treble and presence, and/or Definition ( in the Amp Menu) may make the Rigs more effective for your style of tapping.

I would try to compare eq curve of tapping vs picking in a DAW and accent eq bands that are louder with tapping.
Also adjusting 'Pick' parameter in amp section may do the work for you.
