I swear the tuner on my Profiler always showed my tuning in sharps (ie F#) before, but after the latest public beta update it suddenly shows everything in flats (ie Gb). Now this isn't that much of a problem, but it's still strange to me. I can not find a setting where I can choose my preferred default (which would be in Sharps). Anyone else encountering the same thing?
Profiler Tuner showing in Flats instead of Sharps (?)

the answer is in the changelog:
changed: Tuner and Harmonic Pitch display keys in B instead of #

Oh, that's going to take some getting used to! Thanks for the reply though.
Is there any way we can have this as a setting at some point, to choose between the two? -
Why would you want it in sharps? This way tune your E string and it will at least show the string name, makes more sense to most people instead of showing D# when you hit your E string. I was begging for a global tuner you could "offset" by 1/2 step so that when the sounding tone was Eb the tuner shows it as E. Then when your whole band tunes down to Eb you can read on the tuner EADGBE. But I'll be happy with just having b! Thanks!

I'm still trying to B#.

It was harder to Cb!

Thank you! I'm jamming on the Beta and LOVE seeing the string name on the tuner! YAY!!
-
I think for me and all the people who tune there guitars a half-step down the b's are much better.

Really?

Having a choice is ALWAYS better

This is a change I hate !!! I tune to Drop A# have referred to it for years like that. A# F A# D# G C now I need to go Bb F Bb Eb G C. just frustrating as it inbuilt into me and I've always worked in #'s.
Can we Request a setting where this can be chosen ? -
Somewhere in the third world: I don't have enough food to eat! Somewhere in the west world: I hate they changed the tuner to b instead of #.
-
Tuning with # makes no sense to me at all and never will, and it was my biggest gripe before the b was implemented. That being said, I'm guessing it might not be that big of an issue to have the option for both, and knowing the way Kemper is will likely grant that wish in an update.
Also, there is no such thing as an A# It's like asking for antifreeze for your 1973 VW beetle.

technically there is an A# its just relevant to which key you are using. The Key of B has an A# not a Bb for example

Yes in that context you are correct that slipped my mind.
I think this tuner issue would be pretty easy for Kemper to toggle sharp or flat and make everyone happy. (Except for me as I have been wishing for a 1/2 step "offsetable" tuner but I am pretty much by myself on that one). They've been good about fixing much tougher problems so my guess would be they could easily throw this in as an option as it was # before.
-
I was having the same question. I always used the reference C# for drop tunings, so its been taking some getting used to. Would definitely prefer to have the option instead of seeing b

Why would you want it in sharps?
Because he's a Sharped Dressed Man.

How could this be a simple over looked feature? It displayed # before, why not just have both?
