Viewing from this side of the world I would say the ´57 is off-axis 
He says it´s a 2x12" cab, sooo ......
Anyway, thats not important. The main thing was to show how to profile,
and that´s what he did, ( for those who refuse to read the manual ... ? )

Ok, so I was #2! Lol. Right near the center but off a little bit so the tone wouldn't be so bright / shrill on the high end.

having the cabinet in the same room as your monitoring setup is however not recommended, since it makes it impossible to compare the mic'ed signal to the Profile.
Comparing the amp-in-the-room sound to the (correctly) profiled close mic'ed signal can lead to the misconception, that the Profile is not accurate.

As Don suggested, the amp-in-the-room sound bleeds into your monitoring even if you use headphones, the louder the amp was set for Profiling, the greater the problem will be.

I still swear by using moulded IEM with those big over the ear defenders that guys landing jets on aircraft carriers use. The double layer of attenuation does a great job of isolating the listener from the room sound if you have no option but to profile in a single room.
Does everyone else have a problem of a UFO from Beta-Reticuli passing overhead during a profile?
