When I hit the transpose setting (I'm trying to pitch shift my guitar down one step) It adds it as a harmony so there are two notes playing a tone apart, rather than actually shifting the notes down. Does anyone else have this problem, if so does anyone know how to fix???

turn up the volume or wear headphones. Unless you have activated the parallel path and put the transpose in stomp A or B you are hearing your unamplified guitar and the processed sound at the same time.

Thanks! Headphones seems to help a lot, any idea why that is the case?

As I said you are hearing the "dry" sound from your guitar at the same time as the processed signal of the Profiler. The only way to avoid this is to play at a volume where the unprocessed signal of your guitar strings is overpowered by the amplified sound.

Like Kemper Support #1 said. You are physically hearing the strings from your guitar. Sort of a "sympathetic resonance" which causes you to hear that "harmony" of both tunings at the same time. You have to totally shut out the string noise from your Standard Tuned guitar to make Transpose sound correctly.
