How does what you describe look in practice?
Do you mean that if you have to put your cabinet so that it's facing you more or less directly you're turning directivity down? Or when it's facing the audience?
How does directivity help with "being loud enough"?
And what is usually your perfect angle to the cabinet when you use it at home?

Yes, this is exactly the scenario how directivity gets its use IMO.
