Question : Creating a Merged profile from a purchased (studio/direct)

Ok Manual provides instructions on how to create a merged profile form a direct and studio. My Question... Lets take Tone Junkies 66 AC30 that I have purchased. It comes with Studio and Direct. I want to have one profile that I can plug into a 2x12 if I want and also use the same one to FOH as studio like a good merged profile does. Will making a merged from these 2 profiles end up the same as if I had these as 2 separate profiles?

Technically You can merge any Direct and Studio PROFILEs. If the resulting PROFILE is a Merged PROFILE in its true sense, depends on if the author of the Direct and the Studio PROFILEs exactly maintained identical amp settings creating both, which is out of your control. But you can always try ...

It would be worth reaching out to Jonathan in the Commercial Rigs section and asking him the question. I’m sure he will know as he will have a standard workflow for making rig packs.
