Keeping that tail (Solved)

  • I have a performance setup with three slots.

Slot 1 has just some normal reverb.

Slot 2 has a Delay loaded in the DLY Effect slot with a long trippy tail.

Slot 3 has a Delay loaded in the DLY Effect slot with a longer trippy tail.

I want to hit a chord on Slot 3 and get that delay ringing. Then switch Slot 1 so I can play a few notes on top of the trailing off delay. The decay time in the Slot 3 delay is set to 11 seconds, but after switching slots it fades out after a couple seconds. If I just try shutting off the delay the tail stops immediately.

Any suggestions on how to keep that tail from fading away so fast? I'm using a sequencer and MIDI to switch slots and I don't have an expression pedal, or remote.
