I have recently purchased a Kemper Kab, and after watching videos from the official Kemper channel and Tone Junkies I cannot figure out how to get it to sound good with the cabinet simulator running on the profiler.
The tone is terribly muddy and digital sounding. However, when I turn the cabinet simulator off, I get crystal clear tone with good response. Even with the cabinet off, I can still manipulate the speaker impulses to my liking.
What am I doing incorrectly?
Which output are you using from the KPA to the Kabinet? Should be Monitor Out.
How are you powering the Kabinet?
Have you enabled Kemper Kone on page 8 of the output menu?
The whole KEMPER Kabinet functionality is explained in the Main Manual chapter KEMPER Kone and KEMPER Kabinet.
It explaines which outputs have to be used (SPEAKER OUTPUT or MONITOR OUTPUT with external power amp) and which options have to be activated.
You also want to crank the kabinet up to about 85db for best sound/experience.
