Kemper Kone Wiring Question

  • Simple question. When wiring a 2x12 cab the manual suggests:

Powered Kemper> Positive to positive, negative to negative, and one more wire to connect the speakers: positive to negative.

Is there a certain wire to connect positive to negative?

  • Two Kones should be connected in series, to provide an eight ohm load.

One wire connects the positive terminal of the jack to the positive terminal of one speaker.

One wire connects the negative terminal of the jack to the negative terminal of the OTHER speaker.

The third wire is connected from the negative terminal of the first speaker to the positive terminal of the other speaker.

Below is an example of series speaker wiring.

  • We have our own wonderful wiring illustrations for Kone configurations of 2 and 4. These can be found in the Main Manual and on a sheet that ships with the Kemper Kone speakers..

  • thanks, guys. But my question is: what is that third wire supposed to be? Black? Red? What wire connects a positive to a negative without affecting impedance, speakerr polarity or whatever??
