Do you use Rig Manager? Download the profiles and then just drag them into your chosen RigManger folders. Really simple.
Before I edit one, though, I COPY the Rig Manager profile into an Edits folder, so as not to remove the original from the RM.

You can find a lot of usefull info in the manual. Re your question - see Main manual 7.5, page 284, "Importing Rigs, Performances and Presets".

Most commercial packs come as a zip file so make sure you unpack it prior to dragging to Rig Manager.
