where to find great phat bass profiles?

    I'm more of a guitarist but I do need some good bass options too. Any recommendations? Not so bothered about rock, more looking for thick warm bass sounds good for recording and use in hip hop, dub, perhaps vintage sounding stuff too...

    ok will check those out! Are.there any good tips for dialling in a good bass sound? I started ramping up the compression of the amp a fair bit and cutting the freqs below 80hz, that's already sounding better....

    One good tip might be to enable parallel path which effectively lets you blend a DI and profile together. You can have two fx on the DI portion so maybe eq and compression for example. For recording you might want to record two completely separate tracks to give you more control in mixing but for live it can give a good solid clean attack from the DI while still getting character, warmth and thump from amp signal.
