Changed the title of the thread from “Wireless functions incoming?” to “Wireless features incoming?”. -
I forgot the stages all have wireless modules built in. I wonder if the newer rack and head units have been getting them too?

i did not know that! maybe a wireless dongle for the head/rack could be an option...

And if i can read it correctly the app on the ipad is called "RigManager" (sorry... facebook quality)
-
this..
-
Now that's what we all Ipad users waiting for. ?
-
yea yea yea!!!!! ???????
-
I guess they will spill the beans on the wireless biz properly sometime soon - maybe around summer NAMM time.
-
Can’t wait.

I would like to get:
- support for a wide range of USB WiFi-Dongles (e.g. the small ones you can also use with the Raspberry Pi (TP-Link something)
- webserver running on the Kemper
- hosting the GUI (Like on the Soundcraft UI24 mixer (they also have an online demo of it. Very nice!)
- Kemper can either connect to an existing access point or act as the access point
- Kemper can update itself (one click update) (downloading the update from the web and installing it)
- direct connection of the Kemper to the online Rig Exchange library
- since the Kemper Profiler are online then, I want to manage my Rigs and Profiles from my Kemper account website. Eg. keep my Kemper profilers in sync
What I most likely will get:
- propriatary expensive USB-Dongle
- iOS (maybe Android) app
- limited Rig Manager functionality
- closed protocol connection between dongle and app
prove me wrong!
-
There are many cheap usb-wifi dongles that don't need drivers to work with your computer.
That means there are standardized protocols out there. If Kemper implements one of those, then dongle cost should not be an issue.
The proprietary protocol between dongle and app is likely and makes sense. It allows Kemper to keep control of the exposed functionality.

iPad Rig Manager by the looks of it. ? -
Android please... do not limit it to iOS only.
-
Would be great if you could use the iPad pen/stylus for editing as well
-
I hope this uses Wireless Bluetooth MIDI so not only the Stage but the heads and racks can be used as-well.
-
-
Well that answers that. Only question now is is this Stage-only or not.

It`s just a preview of the new upcoming crypto currency that Kemper has been developing for a time now.
It utilizes the hardware in the kemper to mine Kempcoin based on riffs played per hour.
The heat from the fingers during shredding boosts the internal A/D converters so that you can decrypt the currency in relation to the tap tempo, the faster you play the more coin you mine.
To see if your Kemper has updated to the mining funtion just play the intro to Sweet child of MINE

well… as a rhythm guitarist i would choose the riff per minute converter
And what will the name be? Kemper Koin or Shreddcoin?
