So I have a Kemper Stage. I want to build a 2x12 vertical cabinet and drop a pair of kones inside. Ill probably slant the top speaker and make the back partially open, but I'll make a removable panel in case I want it closed. My question is do I make it ported? I'd make it 2 maybe 3" along the bottom. Is this going to alter the intended sounds and even if it does, can't I just compensate for the extra bass boost? Anyone have experience using kones in a ported cab?
As far as powering this rig, one of the fryettes are my leading candidate right now, but I'm willing to listen to advice. Thanks
