Running direct to PA

    Hey everyone! Just wondering what everyone's experience is running the Kemper straight to FOH? Is there anything special I need to do on the FOH board? Like change the level from mic to line level or anything? Any other tips and tricks will be greatly appreciated. I have some gigs coming up next week and would like to be as prepared as possible.

    I am new to the Kemper, but I had no issue just plugging the Kemper XLR's straight into my mixer/PA.


    The only change I made is I "disconnected" the master volume knob from altering the volume sent to my mixer.

    The XLR and 1/4" Profiler outputs are line level (+4 dBu).

    XLR are balanced.

    1/4" are unbalanced.

    If you're running cables greater than 25 feet, I would use balanced cables (XLR).


    Yes, make sure the inputs on the board are set to line level.


    Make sure there are no effects are enabled on the channel(s) you use on the board.

    Looks like August is going to be the month for shows so I'll get lots of use and practice. I just want everything to go as smooth as possible. Thanks for the tips and advice!
