So I'm most probably going to retire my trusty old toaster (early adopter) to my studio for good, and get a stage for live use. The Mission EP1 is going to go with the Stage for Live, so I will need a replacement for the studio. It won't have to be as sturdy, so something a bit more cost efficient while doing the job sufficiently would be nice... Anything you guys can recommend? Wouldn't mind if it has a tip switch to go from vol to wah, but that's not absolutely necessary.

What's everybody using for EXP-Pedal?

Boss EV500 for volume and morph, Mission EP1 is hard to beat for Wah wth spring load ( I currently hack that with thick rubber bans at the heal).
-
I have three pedals - EP1, FV500 and a cheap plastic Zoom expression pedal. The Zoom cost me £11 but works as well as anything. If you don't need bullet proof build you can pretty much use anything.

Same here.

I use the Boss FV-500 H (I guess the guys above mean this). There's also a Boss FV 500 L and this one is very similar to the 500 H but this is a low impedance pedal, making it ideal for instruments with active pu.
My 500H is working better than a Dunlop Cry Baby: no use of an adapter. Only a stereo cable in input exp. and in the profiler in Pedal input and off you go.... (of course after choosing wah in fx section..)

I think mine is actually the FV500 L but it doesn’t make any difference when using it as an expression pedal. The impedance only matters if using it as a traditional volume pedal. I image the L would be a good choice for using as a volume pedal in the FX Loop of a traditional amp too.

DVP3
Dunlop VolumeX Expression Pedal
Works great - smoother response than some I tried.

DOD Mini Expression. I switched from the Mission.

I have 2 missions, however for the stage I guess i'll take a look at the new hotone expression pedal as well

Just got the EP1-KP last week to set up for a switching wah pedal. It's nice having it work like a wah - before that I was using a Moog pedal, which also works great for expression. I may grab one non-Mission pedal to cover the other options (I actually use the Moog pedal on my Moogerfooger pedals).

Moog EP3; cheap, lightweight, rugged, bit high under the foot. Use one to rest my foot on while playing seated. Supplied TRS cable with metal plugs was meh, so I got cheap 1.5 meter TRS cables with molded plugs.

Mission EP1-KP and also a Moog EP3
-
Boss EV5/Rocktron HEX.
They both work very good.
