Here's my first shot at posting some music. It's a one-take improvisation over a freebie backing track I picked up. My recording skills are probably even worse than my playing, so be kind, please!
Oh, and thanks to Mats for a great rig.

great stuff Z!
your playing style is a bit jazzy
are you classically trained per chance?
Nice tone, Zappledan. Did you stretched the track, or adjusted tempo? The guitar sounds slightly off-tune....
nice playing
What rig & backing track did you use?

Hi Andy. Thanks for the kind words. I guess I've started to lean towards a jazzier feel lately, but my background is really mostly blues. No classical training either. I'm sure if I had that this would sound much better!

Thanks! Yes, that rig from Mats is very nice. As for the "slightly off-tune" - yeah, I noticed that too. I stay tuned per the KPA, so I guess that track must be ever so slightly off. Is it possible that my DAW wasn't getting enough CPU? My computer is a few years old ...

Thanks H. I used the MN SC Fat Lead rig by Mats Nermark. I don't recall where I picked up this backing track, as it was a couple of months ago. However, it was free. Here's a link to that one and a couple of others of Robben Ford I found:

I had to EQ a bit of bass out of the one I used for this, and it still was a bit boomy to my ears.

I think the guitar was in tune but my bends weren't
Practice, practice, practice ...
