So I have a question. I was wondering if you can hook a captor X up to a Kemper and it could pose as the cab? Using a DI profile of course. Can this be done? I’m pretty sure it can but I don’t want to ruin anything??

Of course it can. Just don't use your powered output (if you have a powered Kemper).

The monitor output should be your first choice.
Is the captor x really capable of using a DI signal? I only read something about 8 ohms, 100 watt max input. Nothing about a di input, but on the other hand I never used it…
And why would you use an external IR loader when you have a profiler? -
The main reason is because I own one and was curious. I love using DI profiles and adding IR’s to them and I also wanted to see how the Kemper loader faired next to an out and out loader.

it can absolutely be done. The Kemper IR loader is a bit of a weak spot IMO; IR loaders with a longer sample length sound better to me and more representative of real cabs. Some can be truncated without too much loss but I feel like the built in Kemper one is a bit too brutal. I've been running direct profiles with external IR loaders and am very happy with the results that way.
