If you monitor full-range (in-ears, studio monitors, stage monitors, PA, home-entertainment, headphones) it's completely irrelevant!
It only matters if you are monitoring via guitar speaker cabinet. In that case - if you feed the amp simulatuon without cabinet simulation into your physical guitar cabinet - the Merged PROFILE is a bit more authentic. However, this doesn't mean you have to like it better. At the end of the day you need to use your ears and judge yourself, what you prefer.
