I really would love to have the Nobels ODR-1 in the drive section.

Who also would like to see that?

what is unique about the ODR that can’t be emulated with the Kemper Drive? I always thought it was just another Tube Screamer type pedal.

Look through Tone Junkie's Free Rigs...somewhere there are some call Effects Presets and/or Tone Tools, and in it, they have a combination of EQ and a drive (maybe a screamer?) that is supposed to emulate an ODR. So, it's two stomps, but it sounds similar to a medium setting on an ODR-1. There are also several other useful EQ / Drive combinations in those Tone Tools such as a Stomp Thickener, Fatness, Hot Knife, Etc.

    Be Thankful.

I have never used one but it is on my list to get. I know a guy who swears by the Nobles and states it is the secret sauce for many studio musicians.

it absolutely not a tube screamer type pedal, tube screamers cut bass and push mids, odr-1 are more natural sounding , more full sounding

OK, I’ve done a bit of Google research the best descriptions seem to describe it as some where between a TS and a Klon. I haven’t compared the schematics but it does still appear to be a traditional OD type circuit with les mid boost than the TS. Therefore, it should be possible to recreate this with the Kemper Drive. Perhaps ckemper could come up with a preset for us ?

That's a great deal. I recently discovered that I really like using the ODR-mini with my small amps. It really beefs them up with the drive all the way off, the spectrum all the way up (or close to all the way up), and volume at just slightly higher than unity.

    Be Thankful.
