If this were from the 80s I think it would have a lot of chorus.
But I guess U2 may have been the exception to the rule.

Mats_Nermark there were a lot of non chorused guitars in the 80s too. Wicked Games, the Pixies, some U2 (but mostly they did use a lot of chorus), XTC even quite a lot of hair rock. Everyone associates chorus with the 80s but for my money it came in with the new wave and New Romantics at the beginning who were apparently Bowie fans, went mainstream with stuff like Til Tuesdays Voices Carry and Def Leopard then mostly died down for late 80s and reprised more in the 90s where it was used post distortion (Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Suede etc). It seems to be an effect that gains and loses popularity every few years.
