Kensington lock with Kemper Stage

  • Hello! New user of Kemper Stage here! ?

I’m using the Kemper Stage on live situations where it can be possible for someone to grab it from the stage and you know, leaving me without anything ? So I thought about buying a Kensington lock-type wire to attach it to the Kemper and to the stage, but I don’t have any experience with these types of locks and there are a bunch of them in amazon, which is where I’m thinking to buy one.

Does someone around here use any lock of this type with the Kemper Stage?

Any help would be really appreciated ?

  • Those lock connectors are popular on Lots of products. Many laptops and computers in general use them.

I’ve never used it, but it’s easily the best way to secure your Stage.

  • Thanks for the answers!

Ruefus, you’re right, I’ve seen them in many many places, but from my research I think there are different sizes of the piece that goes into the hole. I’m looking for someone that has one for the Stage ? I want to believe that I’m not the only one who need to protect his Stage ? In my case, there are some stages where people can extend their arms and reach the pedalboard, and that may be worrying… ?

  • If you're using the Stage with effects and expression pedals,
I highly recommend using a pedalboard.
Screw the Stage and your Pedals firmly onto the pedalboard.
(I'm using Perforated Mounting Tape 19 mm x 10 m Plastic Coated Black)
and use a plug adapter like this https://www.thomann.de/es/rockboard_mod_3.htm.

This helps to prevent premature defects in the plug connections.

I built a GPS tracker into my pedalboard, which is not easy to spot.

This helps also if someone try to rob your pedalboard backstage or from anywhere else.

  • If you're using the Stage with effects and expression pedals,

No I’m not! The whole point about buying the Stage was to get rid of my amp and pedalboard, I loved them but preferred to buy the Stage instead of flight cases -the crew treats the backline as thrash ?- so now I just have to grab my guitar and the Stage..

I thought about this, but for me I think it’s better to prevent the theft the best I can ?
