How do you use the new quick function to auto assign stomp switches?

Hi there,

I read the addendum to 8.7 but I can't see how to do this.

I assume that somehow you can press the quick button and assign the first 4 stomps to the 4 stomp footswitches on the remote, but I can't see how to do it.

Can anyone help me?

Do you have at least four active effects in the Rig?

I'm not sure. I was trying random rigs.

Do I need to have four active effects for it to work?

To be honest I've never used the quick button for anything before.

Come to think of it I did try a rig with four active effects before the amp section.

Yes. It is connected via a poe/router.

Does anyone know what is supposed to happen when I press the quick button? Do I need to be in a specific mode or other screen before I press it?

The Quick button can be configured to do different things, so you need to tell it what you want it to do first. If you haven't done that yet, it's in the System settings under "Quick Function".

Thanks I've done that now. It took me a while to find it in system settings.

Tried the quick function and bingo it worked!

It didn't just take the fx in the stomp slots (there were 3), it went on to the next used slot in the effects which was good.

The function as such isn't new. It existed already before on the last page of Rig Settings (pressing STORE). There is no artificial intelligence behind - it just takes the first four effects it finds starting at module A.

This same function can now be assigned to the QUICK button of Head and Rack models, which allows to trigger it without entering Rig Settings and navigating to the last page.
