Per, your bass nails it. Great touch, tone and time.
We take bass for granted but it's a bitch to get right.
I've spent decades getting sound that suits the sound of the artists that hires me only to have it played through a damn phone.

Thanks Monkey_Man thats what I actually did on the verse section, shoved it forward by a few samples.
Thanks BayouTexan !
Thank you MuddySludge that validation means a lot, and I know what you mean. I think bass is a very easy instrument to play but an incredibly hard one to master, your timing and tone is very exposed and despite it being so critical people notice if you get it wrong more than if you get it right. Like with vocals I feel like there’s no middle ground of “ok” bass or bass tone, either it’s great or it’s terrible. It’s really really hard to get great bass tone and feel. I noticed how little people pay attention to the bassist watching Linus of Hollywood play with Paul Gilbert, everyone was fixated on Paul but Linus was playing the exact same super fast technical shred lines in unison on the bass! The result was massive. My aim isn’t shred but just to get good enough to elevate the foundation to give it that catchy polished sound and feel and even that is no small challenge. It’s not as simple as you think!
You did It again bro'.
Radio-friendly.
Thanks Monkey_Man & Franjoe30 !
Very-chilled bro'.
I like, amongst other things, the introduction of the fretless towards the end.
Hey Per!
This could easily be the intro to a modren Swedish film.
Cheers,
Mats N
Thanks Monkey_Man and Mats_Nermark a bit rushed as always. That "fretless" is really just the same Yamaha fretted bass as that's on the rest (I don't own a fretless currently) I just opened up how I was playing to be more improvised and less rigid to my pattern I guess the profile might emphasize the upper mids and string noise a little more giving it that sort of sound similar to a fretless.
Nice galloping Per. I don't find that easy to do. I always wind up stuttering a couple times.

Sounds like it comes out of a time machine that has traveled from London in the mid 70s.
I like it!

Thanks BayouTexan and Mats_Nermark !
Very-nice Brother Per.
Tiny hint:
Best IMHO to avoid the fast-brush snare fills. The one at 52s for example, is more-appropriate than the one at 37s for a piece of this tempo.
Nicely-done 'though; really enjoyed that.
Hi Per,
again a nice one, well done
Fantastic arrangement on this last one, great soundtrack theme
Thank-you Monkey_Man hafi19 and waraba !
