I have a Stage and a rack and the same issue is present on both. I have change out all of the cable s and the powered cabinets. Any advice? Even stranger if I touch the cable it acts like a bad jack. It all worked perfectly before the update.

Run the update again. I updated and don't have these issues.
That sounds very, very strange. Maybe re download the update before running it again? Not sure a SW update would cause those kind of issues...
I would check all of the GROUND lift options. Maybe one of these options got reset in the update???
Is this an output problem affecting all outputs of all devices - HEADPHONES as well? Or is this a problem of the input signal instead? Guitar, battery, guitar cable, other external devices,.... Could there be a grounding issue at your power network?
Noone else has reported such an issue with any of the 8.7s. Reinstalling the same OS is meaningless. Ground lifts and other settings are not changed by the update and at the Rack the ground lifts are physical and not controlled by software anyhow.
I've also noticed some noise problems and at first thought it was a bad cord or connection.
