Is there any drawbacks to using a stereo delay "after" double tracked guitars? I'm sending both left and right mono guitars into a stereo track just for the delay. Without the delay, the guitars sound way up front which I might not want.

I’ve never tried this as I never do any post production on my guitar tracks. At the end of the day, if it sounds good to you then the experiment worked BayouTexan

If you think it sounds good, do it. Simple as that!

Very nice sound on the axes, great tune, any vocalist would love this palette to paint on.

Believe it or not, I think there is a hint of Def Leppard in there.

That would be no bad thing BayouTexan as i need all the help i can get

Sounds great, very full pop rock ballad. You definitely don’t need much help, we’re just living in a time where marketing has cut out the middle man of the record company and so it costs artists a lot more to become a success than it ever did in the past.

Go for it Joe! It's a song already, just needs little to complete it. Vocals

New tune, Water Horse
I've been listening to allot of Queensryche recently, i've always loved their Mindcrime and Empire albums. This is sort of inspired by them.

Oh very interesting atonal lead, I don't know Queensryche very well but I'm guessing that's a bit of a signature then? Sounds great, very dynamic. Tightly played too, nice job Franjoe30 !
Thanks Per If you aren't really that familiar with Queensryche then i absolutely urge you to listen to the "Operation Mindcrime" album followed by the "Empire" album. This was the original band at its absolute best, both are masterpieces. The dual guitar of Chris Degarmo, who wrote most of the songs, and Milchael Wilton is just amazing.

I like the minimalist approach used on the intro and verse and letting the ambience fill the quiet spots. I've been paying attention to that technique a lot since I seem to want to put too much in where just a little is needed.

What???

Great tune Joe. Nice parts, great dynamics and the quiet verses are very appealing... cool thing

Thanks BayouTexan just make sure you have plenty of ambient reverb to let the notes hang and you are there.
What???
I know, right? 😂
