They are exactly the same pedal. KP-GN just means Kemper Green, and BK means Black. SPL is SPring Loaded. Both are EP1 models.

I can vouch for the Green one since it is cooler than the Black one.

If I recall correctly the KP version (like the RJM version I have) has the added toe switch which the regular EP1 doesn’t.

The SP1 has a switch like the EP1 KP but the SP1 switch is latching not momentary so doesn’t work with the Kemper.

Ah, wasn't aware of that. I thought all the KP versions had a switch. I've never looked at the spring loaded version as the idea of an expression pedal with a spring makes no sense to me but I'm probably just weird

Here is how they are listed at Sweetwater. The Green one is 'on-sale' $10 cheaper. Notice that both have the "EP1-KP" in the prefix of the model number so those two from Thomann you posted may be different. Call them to verify the model number.

The linear potentiometer is matched exactly to the specifications of the Kemper Profiler for precise and natural response. The standard pedal has a toe switch to turn effects on and off without requiring a separate footswitch.

The optional spring load omits the physical toe switch. The spring always returns the pedal to heel down and is used with the Profilers auto-on function to automatically turn the wah effect on and off when moving the pedal.

We are not aware of any expression pedal brand and model the PROFILER doesn't work with - except if it's technically broken.

A toe switch is not required. If you intend to use one, it must be momentary.

The color is a question of taste.

A spring loaded expression pedal might be useful and favorable for specific applications e.g. Wah Pedal, and meaningless for others e.g. Volume Pedal. So this needs to be considered carefully against what you are intending to do with it.
