Octa Knob on Kemper Fuzz destroys profile sound

  • It is a bit difficult to say for sure without actually playing and listening. I think I would need the tactile feedback, but this sounds plausibly correct for an octave fuzz in general and for the one in the Kemper. Ratty, splatty distortion is normal for these types of units.

  • you're using the Octa parameter with very little gain apparently,
The Octa effect is NOT a pitchshifter that does and octave up effect, it is full wave rectification, which will create the illusion of an octave up effect.

    recommended for classic tones:
    - single notes
    - neck pickup
    - tone rolled off
    - play above the 12. fret

  • As Don suggests , you ain’t using it right, research some Octafuzz pedals to get the drift, and yes at low gain with the octave turned up that is pretty much what you get with the classic pedals.
