you can position the looper at the beginning of the signal chain or at the end to either record the dry signal or the fully processed signal.

the looper position is global and independent from the rig that is being used. If you record the loop signal at the input and you change rigs you will hear the signal as it is being processed by the currently loaded rig.

Just to be clear - this won't let you replace your Boss loopstation that's a dedicated unit. I would never use it on stage for paying customers.
But, IMO the Kemper looper is very useful in the right situations:
1) Tweaking your sound against the same looping riff - very convenient
2) Practice - play a looped passage and practice against it

While it was not intended to be a replacement for a dedicated looper pedal with minutes/hours of memory, it works fine for me, for electric gigs . I use it on a few songs live, for two and four bar phrases and drones.
True. I will admit that I use it on Take 5 if I do that without piano or a second guitarist (that knows the chords and timing😀).
Edit: I've since fixed the egregious mistake I was making in the bridge section. Fits in under 60 seconds though.
The volume pot on the guitar could take some contact spray...
Joke aside: nice playing, I love this tune, used to play it with my Father on the piano when I was young
