The PHANTOM of the opera

I have had this once or twice - keen to know if other users have experienced it.

If I have the monitor out going to a power amp (separate to my main out) and the monitor or FOH guy accidentally runs phantom 48v down my XLR line, the monitor out shuts down.

Anyone else had this?

i don't see how that could happen, but i'm interested in hearing somebody with more knowledge than me's opinions on this.

I've just tried, 48v on and the monitor out works fine.

Good to know. I haven't been able to recreate it here, but it has happened twice in the past. Monitoring it...

Was the Monitor out working again as soon as they switched off the Phantom or did you had to reboot?

It worked as soon as they killed the phantom.
